Het bepaalt de waarde van beloningen (zoals voedsel, geld) en de motivatie om ernaar te streven, sterk afhankelijk van dopamine.<\/p><p>De basale ganglia bestaan uit het putamen, globus pallidus, nucleus caudatus, substantia nigra en de nucleus subthalamicus. De basale ganglia is betrokken in diverse cognitieve processen zoals beweging en emotie. In verslavingsgedrag wordt de basale ganglia aangewezen als de structuur met name verantwoordelijk voor het in stand houding van verslavingsgedrag (formation of habitual substance taking).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Of note, in dit model is er geen verschil tussen de thalami en een kern van de basale ganglia, nucleus subthalamicus. In en rondom de thalamus liggen verschillende kleinere subkernen, waar de nucleus subthalamicus er \u00e9\u00e9n van is.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Het tweede ori\u00ebntatiepunt is het laterale ventrikel, waar de nucleus caudatus lateraal langs ligt ook in gelijkwaardige grote C-vorm.<\/p><p>o Nucleus caudatus (blauw): Boetseer twee langere rollen met een dikker frontale zijde en een dun uiteinde, als ware een kop met een dunne staart. Plaats deze rollen aan beide zijden lateraal van de laterale ventrikels.<\/p><p>o Nucleus accumbens (oranje): Klei twee ovale bolletjes en plaats deze frontaal op de nucleus caudatus.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Het cerebrale aquaduct van Sylvius is het ori\u00ebntatiepunt voor de substantia nigra.<\/p><p>o Substantia nigra (blauw): Kneed twee boogjes en plaats ze net boven het 4e ventrikel aan de laterale zijde van het cerebrale aquaduct van Sylvius.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Deze 3 kernen, nucleus caudatus, nucleus subthalamicus en substantia nigra werken sterk samen om gedragingen te reguleren en vooral bekend van het optimaliseren van geplande bewegingen. Terwijl het ventrale striatum, nucleus caudatus en nucleus accumbens bekend staan om het reguleren van motivatie en
